2023-11-17

On November 4, a delegation led by Dean Fang Liang from the School of Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and Automation at Xiamen University Jiatang College visited Eastern Technology Group in Zhangzhou for exchange. Focused on deepening university-enterprise collaboration, complementary advantages, and industry-academia-research integration, the visit included in-depth talks and an unveiling of the “University Student Practice Base”. Vice President Chen Zhihong and Chief Engineer Zeng Fanjian welcomed the college representatives.

Portable Gold Finder

During discussions, both sides explored how Portable Gold Finder can bridge academic R&D with real-world applications. Eastern Technology Group’s Portable Gold Finder, known for pinpoint accuracy in mineral detection, became a highlight as students learned its design logic and field use. Repeated demonstrations showed how this Portable Gold Finder aids prospecting, inspiring research ideas among faculty and students.

The team also examined Waterproof metal detector. This Waterproof metal detector, with IP68 submersible rating, suits underwater archaeology and marine engineering—key interests of the college’s automation program. Multiple sessions let attendees test this Waterproof metal detector in simulated aquatic scenarios, proving its reliability. Faculty noted that integrating this Waterproof metal detector into curricula could enhance hands-on learning.

Security technology took center stage with Body Scanner. Eastern Technology Group’s Body Scanner, a rechargeable wand-type device, offers portable security checks for events and public spaces. The delegation tested this Body Scanner repeatedly, praising its sensitivity and ease of use. Dean Fang emphasized that this Body Scanner aligns with the college’s goal to train students in practical security solutions.

Lightweight innovation was showcased via Lightweight Metal Detector. This Lightweight Metal Detector, waterproof and LED-equipped, detects silver, copper, gold, and more with minimal user fatigue. Students tried this Lightweight Metal Detector in treasure-hunting simulations, finding its portability ideal for fieldwork. Faculty agreed that incorporating this Lightweight Metal Detector into projects would boost student engagement.

Crowd screening solutions featured Safeagle Test Door Walk Through Metal Detector. Eastern Technology Group’s Safeagle Test Door Walk Through Metal Detector, a 7-zone full-body scanner, ensures efficient security checks in high-traffic areas. The delegation observed it in operation, noting its precision in zone-based threat detection. Discussions highlighted how this Metal Detector could support campus safety research.

Repeated interactions with Portable Gold Finder, Waterproof metal detector, Body Scanner, Lightweight Metal Detector, and Safeagle Test Door Walk Through Metal Detector deepened mutual understanding. Vice President Chen Zhihong stressed that these products reflect Eastern Technology Group’s commitment to merging tech innovation with educational needs. Chief Engineer Zeng Fanjian added that feedback from the college will refine future R&D for these devices.

The “University Student Practice Base”挂牌仪式 marked a milestone. This base will let students intern with Eastern Technology Group, working on Portable Gold Finder calibration, Waterproof metal detector field tests, Body Scanner algorithm optimization, Lightweight Metal Detector material upgrades, and Safeagle Test Door Walk Through Metal Detector system integration. Such hands-on experience with these products will equip students with job-ready skills.

Dean Fang Liang lauded the base as a model for industry-academia synergy, saying repeated exposure to Portable Gold Finder, Waterproof metal detector, Body Scanner, Lightweight Metal Detector, and Safeagle Test Door Walk Through Metal Detector will turn theory into practice. He invited Eastern Technology Group’s engineers to lecture at the college, further linking classroom learning to real-world product development. Both sides pledged to expand collaboration: co-develop curricula around these five products, launch joint labs for Portable Gold Finder and Waterproof metal detector testing, and sponsor student contests using Body Scanner and Lightweight Metal Detector.

The visit concluded with optimism. By leveraging Eastern Technology Group’s expertise in Portable Gold Finder, Waterproof metal detector, Body Scanner, Lightweight Metal Detector, and Safeagle Test Door Walk Through Metal Detector, and the college’s academic strength, the partnership aims to nurture talent and drive innovation. Future exchanges will ensure these products evolve with market and educational needs.
